Mrs. Laura Keith

Mrs. Laura Keith serves as Instructor of Music at Claflin University. Before joining the faculty in 2000, she taught choral music in the South Carolina public schools for over twenty-five years. Her areas of specialization include music education, music history, piano, and choral methods. She is an active choral clinician and keyboard instructor throughout the state of South Carolina. Her area of research includes Afro-American music educators and has presented her work nationally and internationally in residencies, symposia, and conferences. Mrs. Keith earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Howard University and a Master of Music Education from the University of South Carolina. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Music Education from the University of South Carolina.ell as concert appearances.
