Mr. Isaiah R. McGee
Mr. Isaiah R. McGee serves as Director of Choral Studies and Assistant
Professor of Music at Claflin University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Music from South Carolina State University, Master of Music
in Vocal Performance, and is currently writing his dissertation to complete
his studies for the Ph.D. degree in Music Education - Choral Conducting
from Florida State University. While at Florida State, he was a graduate
assistant, director of the Gospel Choir and a student of Dr. Andre Thomas.
He is very active as a vocalist, conductor, adjudicator, and clinician
throughout the southeast. Mr. McGee has been recognized internationally
as a vocalist making his debut as the Conte in Cimarosa's Il Convito
at Teatro Signorelli in Cortona, Italy. He is a member of several professional
organizations including the American Choral Directors Association and
MENC. |
