Dr. Robert Thomas
Dr. Robert Thomas is Professor of Music at Claflin University. He
is well known as an accompanist, clinician, lecturer, and adjudicator
for various musical events throughout the state and region. His teaching
areas include music appreciation, music history, music theory, piano,
and organ, as well as courses in sacred music. He served as organist
at Trinity United Methodist Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina for
over thirty-five years. Dr. Thomas earned a Bachelor’s degree
in music and secondary education from Clark College and a Master’s
degree in religious education from the Interdenominational Theological
Seminary. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in music from North
Carolina Central University and a Doctor of Education from the University
of Illinois. |
