Claflin University extends warm greetings to
International students. Currently our international Students are from 14 different countries participating in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Many international students successfully participate in professional internship programs, undergraduate and graduate research programs. Graduate find highly rewarding careers and often gain admission to the nation's top graduate schools.
International students seeking admission to Claflin are advised to inquire at least one year in advance of the anticipated date of admission. All students must submit SAT/ACT and TOFEL scores with application materials. Deadlines for application submission are March 1 for the fall semester, August 1 for the spring semester and February 1 for the summer term.
If english is not the first language, the applicant is required to show proficiency in oral and written expression as evidenced by satisfactory achievement on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). However, the university will consider probationary admission for applicants who lack the required proficiency in English. The university's Student Support Services (SSS) is design to increase student retention and graduation. In addition a counselor for international admissions and transfers advises and facilitates international student applications. The applicant will be required to provide sufficient evidence that adequate financial resources for tuition/Fees and all other university costs.
