  • Contracted with Bruccoli Clark-Layman (Manly Inc.) to edit three volumes in the Conflicts in American History Series to be published by ABL-CLIO: Conflicts in American History Series: Volume 4 Civil War and Reconstruction, Conflicts in American History Series: Volume 7 The Long Civil Rights Movement, Conflicts in American History Series: Volume 8 Toward the Next American Century 1974-2007
  • The institute will be collaborating with the Carolina Lowcountry and Atlantic World project at College of Charleston during the 2007-2008 academic year for the commemoration of the abolition of the Atlantic Slave Trade. We will be hosting a lecture in fall given by Professor Alondra Nelson at Yale University revolving around African Americans and the use of geneaological databases.
