All programs, courses and experiences in the School of Education support the Claflin Imperative of “preparing students for leadership and service roles in a multicultural, global, and technological society.” The five degree programs in the School of Education are Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle Level Education, Sport Management and Human Performance & Recreation. Additionally, the School of Education holds ultimate responsibility for all of the teacher education areas at Claflin University. The School of Education also supports the University’s General Education Core by providing physical education courses.
