Message From President
Dr. Tisdale's Radio Interview

What does this mean?

This means that the national radio celebrity and philanthropist, Mr. Tom Joyner, will highlight Claflin University for the entire month of January to help solicit donations from alumni, corporate sponsors, and the 7 million listeners of the Tom Joyner Morning Show. The Tom Joyner Morning Show airs in 115 markets, including the Caribbean and the Armed Forces Network. Tom Joyner will award scholarships during the Morning Show to Claflin students in January.

The Tom Joyner Foundation is dedicated to assisting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in their efforts to raise funds for student scholarships and other institutional needs. The Foundation’s ultimate vision is to support every HBCU in the United States, providing higher education for the best and brightest students.

Selection as the HBCU of the Month provides a tremendous opportunity for Claflin University to attract national attention and significantly increase its donations to the institution. Our goal is to raise $500,000 in donations. And we need your assistance in making this campaign a success!

How can you help?

Make your contribution today and it will be matched, in part, by corporate sponsors of the Tom Joyner Foundation. In addition, it is likely that your friends and relatives who make contributions to Claflin University may have their gift matched by their employer. All donations are tax-deductible and will directly benefit students of Claflin University.

Make your check payable to The Tom Joyner Foundation for Claflin University. Mail your contribution to: Institutional Advancement, Claflin University, 400 Magnolia Street, Orangeburg, SC 29115
