Student Services Center The Office of International Student Services is responsible for assisting all international students attending Claflin University. This office serves as the liaison with the Office of Enrollment Management between international students and the United States Department of Homeland Security. The offices are ready to assist the international students with the following activities: extending the 1-94 visa, transferring to another college or university, obtaining off-campus work permits, obtaining money from other countries, providing certification of attendance, obtaining permission to bring spouse or other dependents to the United States, and obtaining authorization to leave the United States and return at a later date. In order to make a new international student’s introduction to Claflin University as smooth as possible, the student must report immediately to the offices. The Director of Enrollment Management and the International Student Advisor are available to counsel international students and refer them to the appropriate university office when necessary. Students with special needs because of a physical or mental disibilities should contact the office as soon as they arrive on the campus. This office has been established to assist disabled students attending the university. The staff of the office has close contact with federal and state agencies which provide services to disabled individuals. In dealing with students, the office staff will work with each student individually in order to develop solutions to meet his/her needs. Sadie
