Student Eligibility

In order to participate in the Upward Bound program, a student must meet certain eligibility requirements

Two thirds of all students must:
• Be a potential first generation college student
• Meet income guidelines (listed below)
• The remaining one third may be one or the other

All students must:
• Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
• Have a need for academic support
• Be enrolled in the 9th grade, but cannot be a senior
• Be at least 13 years of age, but not older than 19 years of age
