If you have network capability on your computer and would like to connect to the Claflin University network in your residence hall or to a wireless connection, you will need to install the Cisco Clean Access Agent. Installing the Clean Access Agent is also required if you are using a laptop (wired or wireless) in the library.
What is Clean Access?
Clean Access is a network security solution that will provide you with a secure and clean network environment by preventing infected and vulnerable machines from joining the university's network. At the same time, it will provide necessary directions and help pages for machines that do not pass the security requirements.
Claflin has implemented the use of Clean Access to make your network experience productive and secure. The Clean Access Agent ensures that any computers connected to the network have sufficient virus protection and system updates installed. Students who want access to the network must pass these checks to get online.

- Anti Virus Software Installed
- Up-to-Date Anti Virus Definitions
- Windows Updates
If a computer does not meet the necessary requirements, Clean Access will identify the components that need updating and instruct the user on how to update these items.
