How to obtain a Claflin e-mail account

The Information Technology Department offers every student a computer user account and a Claflin e-mail account. The username and password that is provided to you is used to log onto both the computer and your e-mail. To obtain an account, please stop by the IT department in the James S. Thomas Science building (JST) room 128. You will be provided with a username and password within minutes. The username and password provided to you is for your use only. Please do not share your information with anyone else. If you encounter any problems with your user account or suspect that someone is using your account, please feel free to stop by our office or give us a call.

Claflin University Student E-mail

To access your Claflin e-mail, do the following:

• Log onto the Claflin University Website @ www.claflin.edu
• Select Student E-mail from the Quick Links drop down box located on the left hand side of the screen.
• The following box should be displayed
• Type your username and password, click OK
  Note: Your password must be at least 6 characters long.

Enter your username and password as follows:

• Username = 1st initiall and lastname (unless told otherwise) ex. jsmith
• Password = Enter your last working password
• Your e-mail address is
  your username@claflin.edu

 

Claflin University Employee E-mail

The university offers two ways for its employees to check there Claflin e-mail. You can access your e-mail through the Claflin website or by using Microsoft Outlook. To use Microsoft Outlook, you need to be logged on to your computer. You can not use Microsoft Outlook on another users system. Access your e-mail via the website whenever Microsoft Outlook is not functioning to it fullest capacity.

To access your e-mail via the web

• To access your Claflin e-mail, do the following:
• Log onto the Claflin University Website @ www.claflin.edu
• Select Employee E-mail from the Quick Links drop down box located on the left hand side of the screen.
• The following box should be displayed.
• Type your username and password and click OK
  Note: Your password must be at least 6 characters long.
