Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer is a web browser that allows you access to World Wide Web content such as images, music, videos, games, news, hyperlinks, e-mail and more. These tips will help you enjoy your browsing experience a little more.

Quickly Add a Web Page to Favorites
To quickly save a Web page to your Favorites list, press CTRL+D. Click Favorites on the Menu Bar and scroll down to the bottom and you will see the web page you just added using CTRL+D

To View Web Pages in a Larger Font
To make the text on Web pages larger or smaller, click the View menu, and then click Text Size. Select the Size that you want and watch your words get bigger or smaller. This may not work on every web page. Try this on your favorite web page.

View Web Site History
You can see a list of Web sites you have visited recently by clicking the History button on the toolbar. (This history button is circled for your convenience)
In the left side pane you will see all the web sites you have visited before you have cleared your history. The example only shows for today and Thursday, this is because I cleared my Internet History on Wednesday.
Click on any link and it will open.
This feature is useful when trying to return to a page you have visited, but can’t remember exactly where it was.

Change Your Home Page to the Page you have Open
To change your home page to the page you have open, click the Tools menu, click Internet Options, make sure the General tab is selected and then click the Use Current button under the Home Page heading.
Click OK

Note: This can also be done by going to the Control Panel under the start menu, click Settings, Control Panel then double click on Internet Options. Follow the above directions.

Create a Shortcut to a Web Page
You can quickly put a shortcut to any Web page on your desktop by right-clicking in the page and then clicking Create Shortcut.
A box will pop up asking if you want the shortcut placed on your desktop. If you do click OK, else click Cancel
