Orangeburg, SC- The Claflin University Pantherettes (12-9), ended their regular season schedule with an exciting four set match victory over the Tigerettes of Benedict College, 25-12, 15-25, 25-23, 25-16.  The win avenged an earlier loss to the Tigerettes in Columbia, SC.  This win was a momentum builder going into the SIAC volleyball championship November 9-14, in Frankfort, KY.  “This victory was what we needed as a confidence builder, because Benedict is second in the Eastern Division and we have had our share of inconsistent play this season. They came in here 13-3 in the conference and we remained focused and stuck to our game plan and came away with the win,” said an elated Coach Capers.

All Conference performer Melinda Bastain led the Tigerettes with a game high 12 kills, while Camilla Miller dished out 20 assists.

The Pantherettes were led to victory by Deisha Rivers with 11 kills and Toi Haynes-Shelman with 25 assists.  Defensively Chrishena Craig  came up with 11 digs.
