Assignment #5: Blackboard Development Project
- For the course you are
teaching, identify several major topics of the course (at least 10)
and locate multimedia on the web such as youtubes, diagrams, or
other materials. Create links and embed graphics in the blackboard
cartridge for the course. (30 Points)
- Create additional course
content in the Blackboard – this may include posting additional
power point lectures, answer keys, frequently asked questions or
other helpful materials. (20 points)
- Using the camcorder
provided by the instructor., make arringments with the professor of
your course to video tape all or part of a key lecture. Using the
instructions from the Teaching & leadership workshop on teachnology,
use Windows Movie maker to edit the video – adding title and credit
slides and splicing in power point presentation slides at key
points. (20 points)
- Write up the changes in
a 4-5 page paper describing what additions you made to the site. Use
screen captures, arrows and dialog boxes to explain and illustrate
the changes. For each set of changes provide a rationale for why it
improves the site, the pedagogical concepts behind it, and where
your source was
Keep all newly added
material inaccessible to students until your course professor has OK’d
making it visible.
