Advisement
Academic Advisement Services
Academic Advisement is the cornerstone to the success of students’ degree completion at Claflin University. Advising is offered in collaboration with the Freshman College to provide services to undeclared majors and at risk students: academic probation, scholarship recipients, student athletes, readmits, and special admits.
The Academic Success Center conducts an assessment of referred students to identify areas of concern that relate to academic challenges. Recommendations for resources and referrals are made available to further assist the student.
A degree completion plan is offered to all students who utilize the services of the Academic Success Center. Students who referred to the Center are required to have a plan on file. Students who wish to have a degree completion plan should bring a copy of the curriculum for the major pursuing.
