Programs
Students entering mathematics and computer science programs must meet standards prescribed by the institution for selecting a major. Students should have taken and passed all major course requirements through the end of the sophomore year. Students may apply for admittance to the Department in their sophomore year. Acceptance will be based upon overall grade point average and performance in selected major courses and designated foundation courses taken prior to the time of application.

A student may pursue a dual degree in Applied Mathematics, Engineering or Engineering Technology by completing the curriculum as prescribed in the dual-degree section of the catalog and then finishing two years of study at Clemson University or South Carolina State University. Dual-degree candidates from Claflin University are eligible to seek B. S. degrees in the following majors at Clemson University:
