Dr. Somasundaram Velummylum is an associate
professor of mathematics at Claflin. He also serves as the Chairman
of the department of Mathematics and Computer Science since 1999. Dr.Velummylum’s
recent research interests are on the enhancement of teaching and learning
at small liberal arts colleges by the use of the Maple Software. He
has presented papers at professional conferences held in the nation
as well as internationally.
