Welcome to Claflin University where academic rankings is a proud tradition.

U.S.News & World Report America's Best Colleges 2008 ranked Claflin University
#10 in the Top Tier for the 10th consecutive year among Baccalaureate Colleges in the South and also ranked the University #3 for Highest Graduation Rate in the South.

In the first ever U.S.News & World Report America's Best Black Colleges, Claflin University ranked #7 out of the 81 HBCUs rated by the journal.

Consumers Digest ranked Claflin #3 nationally for “Best Value Among Top Private Colleges and Universities". The Chronical of Higher Education ranked Claflin #2 for its retention rate among"Very Selective HBCUs" as did The Journal of Blacks in Higher Education.

 

Claflin University offers 33 undergraduate majors leading to a bachelor's degree
and three graduate degree programs: the Master of Business Administration,
Master of Science in Biotechnology, and Master of Education in Educational Studies.

The Bachelor of Arts degree may be obtained with majors in the following subject areas:

The University also offers degree completion programs through Professional & Continuing Studies.

All first year students are required to complete Freshman College and the University’s General Education Programs.
