All students entering the Department of Art at Claflin University will be placed in the Foundation Art Sequence. The freshman and sophomore art curricula will be the same for all Art majors until that time. Upon completion of the first semester of the freshman year, students will declare their intention to major in one of the disciplines available within the department: Art Education, Studio Art, or Digital Design. The students will then continue as outlined in the respective curriculum of their choice.
