CLAFLIN UNIVERSITY, founded in 1869 and affiliated with The United Methodist Church, is recognized as one of the premier comprehensive institutions in the southeast. | DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES |
Claflin University is seeking one full-time, tenure-track faculty member in the Department of English and Foreign Languages at the assistant or associate professor level. Responsibilities include teaching composition and literature courses, academic advising, service to the University and the community, grant writing, and scholarly research. The successful candidate will be required to teach the normal teaching load: four courses per semester.

| QUALIFICATIONS |
The successful candidate must possess experience in college level teaching and advising. Doctorate in English is preferred.
