| DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES |
Department: The Department of Mass Communications offers the Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications with concentrations in Broadcast Journalism, Print Journalism, Public Relations, Radio Production, Sound Recording, and Television Production. The department has about 200 majors; is production-oriented; and has a Pro Tools digital sound recording suite, an Avid nonlinear editing suite, a Broadcast electronics Audio VAULT digital student-run radio station, a digital student-run television station, and an award-winning student-run newspaper.
The Department of Mass Communications is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor who is a public relations specialist. Responsibilities include teaching courses in the practical application of public relations techniques and media usage as well as other courses in the candidate’s areas of professional experience and /or research. We seek applicants whose experience as a communication professional includes cross-platform work, especially in new technologies. The successful candidate will advise students, provide service to the University and community and engage in scholarly research and professional activities

| QUALIFICATIONS |
The successful candidate must possess experience in college level teaching. Doctorate in Mass Communication/Communication or related field preferred. ABD considered.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
