DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES The School of Education at Claflin University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor position. Major responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate level, academically advising students, conducting socially significant scholarship relevant to the field of teacher education, pursuing external funding to support scholarly activities, providing service to the University and profession, and providing leadership for the Master of Education Program.

| QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications include: contemporary PK-12 teaching experience and an earned doctorate with academic preparation in elementary education, early childhood education, or middle level education. A specialization in reading instruction or mathematics education is preferred. Individuals who have completed coursework for the terminal degree and are currently pursing dissertation research will be considered.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
