DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES The Asst./Assoc. Professor of Music Theory & Composition will report to the Interim Chair of Music. He/she will teach the music theory and sight-singing/aural skills sequence. Additional teaching responsibilities may include other courses within the candidate’s areas of expertise. One is expected to participate fully in departmental recruitment activities, promoting the department within the state and nationally, committee service, grantsmanship and research obligations consistent with all faculty appointments.

| QUALIFICATIONS
A Master’s degree in music theory/composition or related field is required. A completed doctorate is preferred. ABD will be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to continue a research agenda and participate in service activities. Administrative experience and or expertise in music technology is helpful, but not required.
