DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The Assistant Professor of Art will report to the Art Chair. He/she will teach foundation level courses in 2D and 3D design, Beginning through Advanced Painting and Art Appreciation. Additional teaching responsibilities may include other courses within the candidate’s areas of expertise. One is expected to participate fully in departmental recruitment activities, promoting the department within the state and nationally, committee service, grantsmanship and research obligations consistent with all faculty appointments.

| QUALIFICATIONS
A Master’s degree in Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting/Design or equivalent required. Strong professional exhibition or activity and teaching experience beyond MFA is highly regarded. The successful candidate should demonstrate commitment to working within interdisciplinary nature of a liberal arts institution; have knowledge of innovative, creative teaching and learning methodologies. Experience online course development and delivery, evolving instructional technologies and media. Additional experience in Museum Studies, Art History, Digital Design and grant writing is preferred.
