DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Claflin University is seeking one full-time, tenure-track faculty member in the Department of English and Foreign Languages at the assistant or associate professor level.   Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester, academic advising, service to the University and the community, grant writing (one per year), and engaging in scholarly research, publication and other professional activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must possess experience in college level teaching and advising, and native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English.   A generalist is preferred.   Doctorate in a related field (ABD considered).

SALARY:  Commensurate with experience
