DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES The Department of Mass Communications is seeking an Instructor/Assistant Professor who has demonstrated experience in radio/audio production and will teach courses in the Audio Production concentration and supervise, guide and manage the student-operated radio station. Courses include Audio for Video Production, Sound Design and Non-Linear Editing and Studio Recording and Mixing and Telecommunications Management. We seek applicants who possess a strong conceptual grasp of contemporary issues in the intersecting worlds of audio production, television productions and converged media. The successful candidate will lead the effort to update the Audio Production concentration, advise students, provide service to the University and engage in scholarship/creative activity.

| QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of a Master’s degree in related field/teaching discipline is required for appointment at the rank of Instructor. A doctorate in related field is required for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in instruction/training at the University level teaching and or comparable professional experience in radio/sound recording or television/film production. Knowledge of and ability to use industry-standard equipment and software, including Pro Tools or comparable programs is required.
