DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES |
The Director of Admissions reports to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management. Provide leadership and manage the Office of Admissions in student recruitment and admissions. Hire and train staff, systemize infrastructure for continuous improvement. Develop and implement the student recruitment strategies for the University; analyze enrollment-related data; and plan and coordinate the recruitment travel schedule for the Office of Admissions. Plan and coordinate community outreach, community college, church and international recruitment. Enter test scores, high school graduation date, NCAA Initial Clearinghouse information, and other admissions information in (CAi) Compliance Assistant Internet. Serve as a member of the Athletics Advisory Committee and University Compliance Committee. Manage the recruitment information database; track and follow-up with inquiries, applicants and admitted students; and monitor the processing of applications, documentation and other information for admission of new students. Maintain departmental budget and monitor expenditures. Supervise support staff, clerical personnel and student workers. Initiate and create activities intended to interest prospective students, high school counselors, parents, alumni groups, and other civic organizations to recruit prospective students for enrollment to the University. Assist with the coordination of registration and student orientation. The Director is responsible for planning and coordinating University Day; preparing weekly reports for admissions and analysis setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions; and serving on various committees as assigned by the President, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor within the scope of this position.

| QUALIFICATIONS |
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with five or more years of experience in admissions and staff supervision is required. Applicant must be knowledgeable of SEVIS and Immigration policies for F-1 students and CACRAO ED-OP recruitment policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to administer program activities, procedures, and policies; to establish goals and priorities; and prepare reports. Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with an integrated student information system is a plus. Previous experience in a public higher education setting is preferred. Sales and marketing experience is strongly preferred.
