DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The Director of Foundations and Corporate Relations reports to the Assistant Vice President for Major and Planned Gifts. He/she is responsible for providing administrative support by overseeing all foundations and corporate relations at the University. He/she will manage a portfolio of foundation and corporate prospects; set up and maintain all policies, procedures and guidelines of foundations and corporations; develop and implement a marketing strategy aimed at securing major gifts; establish partnerships and maintain contact via one-on-one meetings with foundations, corporations, industries, businesses, vendors and federal prospects; and work with other major gift team members to institute substantial partnerships. The Director of Foundations and Corporate Relations will collaborate closely with the AVP of Major and Planned Gifts to design, plan and implement an aggressive marketing program to identify, cultivate and solicit major gifts from foundations and corporations through the use of one on one visits, meetings and proposal writing. The Director will prepare proposals and marketing packets of materials to send to foundations and corporations, identify major foundations and corporations that may be amenable to investing in the University, design and implement a program to bring selected foundation, business, corporate and industrial executives to the campus and to visit on an annual basis; establish annual goals for identifying new foundation and corporate prospects, establish a program designed to increase the size of gifts that we receive from corporations and foundations and to secure repeat gifts from those foundations, corporations and sources. Perform all other duties assigned by the AVP for Major and Planned Gifts and the Vice President for Institutional Advancement within the scope of the position

| QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree in business administration or a related field is preferred. Candidate must possess three to five years of experience in institutional advancement fundraising. The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge and demonstrated ability to operate a computer and various software, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Raiser’s Edge, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc. The applicant must have considerable knowledge of CASE fundraising concepts, techniques and practices; strong organizational skills, effective communication skills (both written and verbal); demonstrated ability to take initiative, multi-task, work independently and as a team member and be flexible and adaptable to change.
