DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES |
The Grants Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper will provide support to the production and dissemination of grant information. This person will be a personal assistant to the Grants Administrator. Possess excellent organizational and general office management skills. Perform general administrative support including archival files, producing correspondence, processing general mailings, maintaining a computerized timeline and generating reports for the Grant Administrator as needed. Must possess bookkeeping skills, be able to maintain records on budgetary and purchasing transactions and verify departmental statements; will assist in balancing budgets and reconciling monthly expense statements for all SOAR Center programs. This person will be responsible for checking all requisitions before presenting them to the Grants Administrator for approval. Duties would also include maintaining account records and helping to insure that the programs are following guidelines in all transactions. |
| QUALIFICATIONS |
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Associates or comparable degree in Secretarial Science is required. Candidate must be able to follow directions and work autonomously of the Director when needed. Excellent written/oral communication skills, proficient with Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets and data bank software programs are a must. Candidate must possess exceptional customer service skills. Previous experience in office management highly regarded. Keen secretarial and administrative knowledge is required. |
