CLAFLIN UNIVERSITY, founded in 1869 and affiliated with The United Methodist Church, is recognized as one of the premier comprehensive institutions in the southeast. The University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and offers broad based education in liberal arts and sciences combined with internships and other career focused programs. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES |
Report to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management. Responsible for leading and managing the Office of Enrollment Management and supervising the pre-registration and registration processes. Provide leadership and oversight for the development, implementation and management of activities and systems related to academic records, student registration, and academic scheduling. Develop and implement academic policies regarding student records. Manage the student record database, distribute all formal academic information and records and ensure the security and integrity of academic records. Prepare semester and examination schedules and make academic room assignments. Certifies candidate eligibility for graduation and provide degree audits to advisors and students. Generate institutional, federal and accrediting reports and serve on the Athletics, Eligibility, Compliance and Certification Committee. Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment. |
| QUALIFICATIONS |
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required with three to five years of professional experience in a registrar’s office. A master’s degree is preferred. Experience in the management and utilization of computerized records and registration systems is required (Jenzabar preferred). Previous management and supervisory experience is required. Candidate must have strong oral and written communications skills; organizational, analytical, decision making, problem solving, and interpersonal skills; and the ability to work with students, faculty and staff. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable of applicable regulations, state and federal policies, etc. |
