The Claflin University Sports Management and Human Performance Club will host its inaugural Hoop for Change Basketball Tournament Nov. 12.
The single elimination tournament is open to the public and will feature 16 teams from South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina. The winning team will take home the grand prize of $500. The tournament's goal is to raise money for the Charleston Chapter of the Ronald McDonald House and the Claflin University Capital Campaign.
Admission is $3 for adults, $2 in advance, and $1 for children ages 6-12. The entry fee for teams is $100. Each team can have between five and 10 players on their roster. Registration will end on Nov. 4. at 5 p.m.
Concessions are available and there will music and other entertainment, in addition to raffle items.
