Vice President for Planning, Assessment and Information Technology Dr. Zia Hasan was recently invited to provide post-election coverage for the recent Iowa Republican Caucus to an international audience of radio listeners.
Hasan joined Shegoftah Nasreen Queen, host of Voice of America's “Hello Washington” to analyze caucus results in Iowa, where former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney edged former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum by eight votes.
Hasan is no stranger to Voice on America and is invited frequently during the year to provide informed analysis and commentary on issues of the day. For example, Hasan has provided on-air insight on former President George W. Bush's 2007 State of the State address and the 2008 South Carolina Democratic Party Primary.
Hasan's commentary – which is in vernacular – can be accessed through the following link: www.voanews.com/bangla/news/4jam12-136687018.html.
