On Tuesday, Feb. 18, many students at Claflin University came together for the march for Jordan Davis, a young man who was killed in Florida for playing loud music. The march opened many eyes of some Claflin students who attended the event -- and also some hearts.

People realized that we all should be knowledgeable of what is going on around us and speak out to share our knowledge with our surrounding. As the march began, the chanting began.

" Justice for Jordan, Justice for Trayvon"

" Black matters, Black empowerment"

" We shall overcome, We shall overcome"

Shanice Harrison said, "Attending the march was honorable and knowing there is justice for the case of Jordan Davis and Trayvon Martin just makes it better."
