Claflin University is pleased to announce that Tijuana R. Hudson has been appointed to the position of vice president for fiscal affairs

An assembly of teachers from the tri-county area have been gathering at Claflin University since October to learn about best practices for teaching students who don’t speak English as their first language.

A world renowned geneticist, Claflin University Associate Professor of Biology Dr. Kamal Chowdhury has madse remarkable strides with increasing the viability of biofuel and plant crop production. Recently Chowdhury was selected to participate in a competitive faculty fellowship with the National Science Foundation’s Research Experience for Undergraduates at Pennsylvania State University at Harrisburg.

Assistant Professor of Finance Dr. Kenneth Norton has been invited to attend an international business consortium reserved for the nation’s top junior faculty.

A quartet of Claflin University students will literally be going places this summer because they were selected as Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship recipients.
