www.claflintravel.com is being officially launched Friday, February 15, 2008 from the homepage of the University’s website to plan and book travel or order flowers.

Claflin’s travel website will not only facilitate travel but part of the commission on each booking will be donated to the University, providing a new and regular source of funding.

“Online donating is a growing source of income and this is an excellent two prong opportunity for the Claflin Family and our supporters,” Dr. Tisdale explained in announcing Claflintravel.com. “This online user-friendly travel site will allow us to consolidate our travel, using competitive pricing, and will benefit the University monetarily through this non-profit fund raising program.

Visitors to the website, www.claflintravel.com, can book flights on major airlines, reserve hotels and cars anywhere in the world, organize group travel, coordinate travel packages, sign up for international cruise or order and send flowers to national and international destinations.

 

“Claflin’s entry into internet travel and the subsequent monetary benefits are the direct result of the generosity and foresight of Ms. Nancy Wilson Young, one of the University’s trustees,” Dr. Tisdale also announced. “We are very grateful to Ms. Young for providing this opportunity and we’re looking forward to encouraging the Claflin Family and our friends to book their travel with us which will benefit the University.”
