Panthers Hand Barons 9-6 Loss

Oangeburg, SC- The Claflin University Panthers (14-17), defeated the Brewton Parker Barons 9-6, in baseball action at Mirmow Field.

Patrick McDonald went the distance (9 innings) for Claflin to pick up the win.

Eric Jordan 3-5, Patrick McDonald 2-3, and John Moody 2-3 led the offensive attack for the Panthers. Claflin turned four double plays during the contest to thwart Baron rallies, to preserve the win.

Brewton Parker was led by L. Wright 2-4 with a grand slam in the first inning. While R. Pedrick also went 2-4. B. Stoutt took the loss for the Barons.

The Panthers travel to Benedict College on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
