What to Expect During Freshman Orientation? Welcome Class of 2011 The transition from high school or from a job to college can be a challenging process. As a new student, you need all the support that you can get so that this change is as smooth and as easy as possible. At On Saturday, August 11, 2007, you will begin the most exciting and important part of your college career. During Freshman Orientation, you will be introduced to almost every area of college life. The Freshman College Staff, University Faculty, Orientation Leaders, Residential Life Staff and Residence Hall Assistants will greet you as you arrive. We have planned seminars, activities and small group meetings about these and other topics: Ø Learn about the academic expectations from Ø Meet other entering students in the Class of 2011, and Ø Become involved in social events sponsored by your Student Government Association and the University.
