Pantherettes Handles Lady Lions with Ease

Orangeburg, SC- The Patherettes of Claflin University defeated the Lady Lions of Paine College, easily in three games 30-14, 30-13, 30-16 Tuesday night in the Jonas T. Kennedy Physical Education Center. The match seemed well in hand from the opening serve as Claflin scored the first 5 points and never looked back the remainder of the night.

Leading the Pantherettes surge was Shavonna Andrews with a game high 11 kills. Toi Haynes-Shelman with a game high 23 assists.

The Pantherete volleyball team will be in action at the Jonas T. Kennedy Physical Education Center on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m. taking on Brewton Parker College.
