The Claflin University International Alumni Association recently presented Claflin University with a $12,850 gift to support campus activities.

The Claflin University International Alumni Association recently presented Claflin University with a $12,850 gift to support campus activities.

                          

CUIAA President Mrs. Liz Zimmerman Keitt and Financial Secretary Ms. Samantha Poinsette presented President Henry N. Tisdale with the check earlier this month. Also participating in the check presentation were Vice President for Institutional Advancement Rev. Whittaker V. Middleton and Chairman of the Claflin University Board of Visitors Mr. Clyde A. Bess. The money donated will be used for various scholarships and activities on campus to include annual alumni scholarships, Chapel activities and Freshmen Orientation.

 

“These funds were presented with great pleasure to Claflin University on behalf of the Executive Board and members of the International Alumni Association,” Mrs. Zimmerman Keitt said. “The money will be used to support the University’s campus activities for the 2007 and 2008 school years.”
