Fort Valley Edges Claflin in Women’s Basketball 55-52

Fort Valley, GA- This is the fifth meeting between the Lady Wildcats and the Lady Panthers of Claflin University. Claflin and Fort Valley seems to always be a close game. This game would be no exception. With FVSU holding on to a two point lead 54-52 with :10 left, and making 1-2 free-throws proved to be the difference in the game, as the Lady Wildcats defeated the Lady Panthers 55-52.

Takesha Riggs led the Lady Wildcats in victory with a game high 16 points. Tierra Washington added 14 points and 14 rebounds for FVSU.

The Lady Pantherswere led by Donisha Albert with 15 points. While Ashley Sorrell-Gibson scored 11points in the losing effort.

The Lady Panthers play Anderson University on tomorrow, with a 2:00 pm. Tip-off.
