Central State Lady Marauder’s Defeat the Pantherettes of Claflin University 51-38

Orangeburg, SC- The Pantherettes of Claflin University (6-12), playing their first game in 14 days, fell to the Marauders of Central State University 51-38.

The Marauders were led by Mahogany Wilson with a game high 18 points. Litisha Walker followed with 10 points and 11 rebounds. And Ijeoma Ofomata added 10 points.

Ashley Sorrell-Gibson led the Pantherettes with 11 points. And Jayshaun Bailey contributed 10 points.

There was only one lead change and one tie 8-8 early in the contest with 13:41 to go in the opening half. The game came down to the shooting department, as the Marauders shot 33% from the floor, while the Pantherettes shot just 22%.

The next opponent for the Pantherettes will be Thursday Night at 6:00 p.m. when the Voorhees Tigers come to town. The Panthers will be in action on Wednesday night as they tangle with West Alabama University at 8:00 p.m.
