Pantherettes Come up Short to Marauders

Wilberforce, OH- The Claflin University Pantherettes lose to the Marauders of Central State University 51-44, on the campus of Central State University.

The Lady Marauders were led by Lori Poindexter had 13 points. Latisha Walker contributed 12 points. Ijeoma Ofomata added 11 points for the Lady Marauders.

Ashley Sorrell-Gibson paced the Pantherettes with a game high 15 points.

The Pantherettes came up short as the Marauders outscored the Pantherettes in the second half, 30-17.

The Pantherettes took an early 8-2 lead over the Marauders of Central State University. The Marauders tied the contest at 18 with a little over 4 minutes to play in the opening half. The Pantherettes went on a 9-3 run during the remainder of the first half, to see themselves on top 27-21 at the break.

The Pantherettes remain on the road as both the Panthers and Pantherettes travel to Tuscaloosa, AL for a Tuesday night game with Stillman College, before closing out the season at Converse University, Independent Tournament, on the 23^rd and 24^th.
