During the month of February, Claflin University will continue to host several events on The Sojourner Lecture Series from Slavery to Freedom: Africans in the Americas in celebration of Black History Month.

During the month of February, Claflin University will continue to host several events on The Sojourner Lecture Series from Slavery to Freedom:  Africans in the Americas in celebration of Black History Month.  Some of the topics for discussion include issues on women in religious activism, entrepreneurship, establishing wealth, rediscovering one’s identity, and much more.

 

The Sojourner Lecture Series will feature the nationally renowned Dr. Scott Whitaker, a certified natural health professional and iridologist.  Dr. Whitaker’s latest book is entitled “Medisin: The Causes and Solutions to Disease, Malnutrition and The Medical Sins that are Killing the World.”  He will lecture Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 7 p.m. in Ministers’ Hall.  The public is invited to attend the free event.

 

Dr. Whitaker is the Founder and Owner of the Wholistic Health Institute, Inc. This non-profit organization is dedicated to the prevention of disease through education. 

 

He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley in Civil Engineering, his Master of Business Administration degree from the Keller Graduate School of Management in St. Louis, Missouri, and his Doctorate of Naturopathy from the International School of Naturopathy in Los Altos, California.
