Undergraduate Application
General Instructions
After completing this application, you must mail a $20.00 cashier's
check or money order along with your 500-word essay and signature
(both you and your parents' signature if you are a dependent) to the
address found below. The application fee is non-refundable. Personal
checks are not accepted. Please do not send cash through the mail.
Forward application fee, essay, and signature(s) to Claflin
University, Office of Admissions, 400 Magnolia Avenue, N.E.,
Orangeburg, SC 29115-9970.

Freshman:In addition to submitting your application, you must mail us your
- high school transcript, including courses currently enrolled in,
- GPA,
- rank-in-class, and
- SAT or ACT scores.
Transfer Students: If you have earned less than 60 semester
hours of college credit,
- submit an official copy of your high school transcript,
- GPA,
- rank-in-class,
- SAT or ACT scores,
- a complete official transcript from each college/university attended,
- a cashier's check or money order of $15.00 for each transcript to be evaluated.
Special Students: (not pursuing a degree): Submit an official
copy of high school transcript or college transcript.

List all schools and colleges you have attended, in chronological order beginning with the present school.
Please indicate below those organizations in which you have
participated and/or won particular honors or recognition. (student
government, clubs, choir, band, athletics, etc.)
List any awards and citations and the date in which they were
earned during high school.
If you are a freshman applicant, list any courses you have taken or
are taking at college.

Write a 500 word essay that discusses your reasons for
applying to Claflin University and your future plans. Mail in the essay, along
with your signature to the address below. Although your
application is submitted online, it is not complete and
will not be processed until
we receive your signature
and/or your
parent's signature (if you are a dependent) along with your essay.
