Undergraduate Application

General Instructions

After completing this application, you must mail a $20.00 cashier's check or money order along with your 500-word essay and signature (both you and your parents' signature if you are a dependent) to the address found below. The application fee is non-refundable. Personal checks are not accepted. Please do not send cash through the mail.

Forward application fee, essay, and signature(s) to Claflin University, Office of Admissions, 400 Magnolia Avenue, N.E., Orangeburg, SC 29115-9970.

Summer Semester May 1st
Early decision must submit completed application by January 15

Freshman: In addition to submitting your application, you must mail us your

  1. high school transcript, including courses currently enrolled in,
  2. GPA,
  3. rank-in-class, and
  4. SAT or ACT scores.

Transfer Students: If you have earned less than 60 semester hours of college credit,

  1. submit an official copy of your high school transcript,
  2. GPA,
  3. rank-in-class,
  4. SAT or ACT scores,
  5. a complete official transcript from each college/university attended,
  6. a cashier's check or money order of $15.00 for each transcript to be evaluated.

Special Students: (not pursuing a degree): Submit an official copy of high school transcript or college transcript.
