Office of the Provost

Working with the President, the Provost identifies the University's academic priorities and allocates resources to implement them.

As the chief academic officer of the University, the Provost guides Claflin’s academic affairs, overseeing the quality of program instruction and collaborative research initiatives in addition to maintaining strategic planning and budgetary responsibilities. In 2012, Dr. Karl T. Wright was named the first Provost in Claflin's history. Together with his senior staff, Dr. Wright works to enhance student learning by administering the curriculum and coordinating programs.

Meet our staff in the Office of the Provost.
