Dr. Tabithia Holman
Biography
Dr. Holman is a 2015 alum of Claflin University and native of Orangeburg, SC. She received her master’s and doctorate in history from Florida International University. While she is an unashamed history geek, her experience at Claflin funneled her research interests to focus on the black experience in the Americas. This path has led her to engage in diverse research topics, from Black political thought in the turn of the century US to socioeconomic infusions of slave law by enslaved Afro-Colombians during the late colonial period. When she is not working, Dr. Holman enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and reading.
