Mr. Endre Rice
Biography
Endre Rice is a 20-year member and featured soloist with the Legendary Count Basie Orchestra. He is also the Director of Jazz Studies at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC. As a freelance artist and a member of the Count Basie Orchestra, Endre has performed in over 40 countries, including numerous performances at Carnegie Hall, The Sydney Opera House, and the Hollywood Bowl. His performance credits include playing lead trumpet with Al Jarreau, Aretha Franklin and Rubin Studdard, as well as Tony Award-winners Audra McDonald, Lillias White and Andrea McArdle. For the past 25 years, he also devoted his time to promoting jazz education by conducting clinics and master classes throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.
