The Academic Success Center provides individual academic support to all enrolled students. The one-on-one interaction with one of our academic counselors provide students with an opportunity to address their specific academic concerns.

Through academic coaching, advising, and counseling students are given an individualized academic plan that lead to a successful degree completion. Moreover, the Center offers an array of resources to assist students with identifying their strengths and weaknesses; as well as, interventions that will help overcome their barriers to success. We are One Claflin, therefore, the Academic Success Center works collaboratively with faculty and other support service department campus-wide to ensure students are successful. Students are able to take advantage of the following services.

Students receiving academic coaching are scheduled for ongoing meetings with one of our counselors to discuss current progress and strategies for reaching goals, and attend the academic support program.

Students who take advantage of the academic counseling are provided one-on-one study skills sessions. Complete the Self Assessment Inventory to assess your study skill habits. After completion, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of our counselors to discuss your results and develop a plan for success.
