Applying for Housing

The incoming first year and new transfer student housing process for the Fall 2024-Spring 2025 academic year is NOW OPEN.  Once your $400.00 Enrollment Fee is paid you will be emailed the housing application link and QR Code.

Claflin University housing assignments are processed on a first come first served basis.  All applicants unable to be assigned will be placed on the non-guaranteed wait list for housing.

Residential Life Handbook

The Residential Life Handbook is your essential guide to living in the residence halls. In it, you will find information about services, facilities, procedures and regulations. When you sign your housing contract, you also agree to abide by the terms of this handbook, which is a part of the agreement. Please read it carefully!

Residence Halls

  • Kliest Hall

    Kleist Hall was constructed in 1998.  Four-story suite style bath facility with single and double rooms.  The building houses 145 females (mainly Honors), including 4 RAs.  
  • Dunton

    Dunton Hall was constructed 1957. Three-story community style bath facility with double and triple rooms.  The building houses 116 males, including 3 RAs.

  • North

    SRC-North was constructed in 2004.  Three-story suite style bath facility with single rooms in a 2-person or 4-person suite.  The building houses 72 females, including 2 RAs.

  • Asbury


    Asbury Hall was constructed in 1961.  Three-story community style bath facility with double and triple rooms.  The building houses 140 females, including 3 RAs.

  • High Rise

    High Rise was constructed in 1970.  Six-story community style bath facility with double and triple rooms.  The building houses 216 females, including 6 RAs.

  • South/East

    SRC - East and South were constructed in 2004.  Three-story suite style bath facility with single rooms in a 2-person or 4-person suite.  East  houses 48 females (Honors only), including 4 RAs.  South  houses 96 males (mainly Honors), including 3 RAs.

    West

  • Commons

    Commons was constructed in 2014.  Three-story suite style bath facility with single rooms in a 2-person or 4-person suite.  Commons has a men’s side that houses 92 males, including 3 RAs  and women’s side that houses 104 females including 3 RAs.

  • Corson Hall
